Personal Life:
Sports
I began serious sports in volleyball from my teenage years and through my college days in Iran. Later on, I continued some recreational activities in the US. After the volleyball era, I began tennis and ballroom dancing.
Volleyball:
I began playing volleyball in middle school and in my first competition my team at Takhteh Jamshid high school won the second place in all Teheran middle schools when I was an eight grader. During my college time I played for the University of Tehran to win two college championships (1972&1973) and one second place (1974). During this time I was also playing first division (to eight) volleyball club championships for Peykan (later Shahbaz) that placed third, fourth, and fifth places (1971, 1972, and 1973). In the US I played in a recreational volleyball team and Bay State games in Boston area before I begin tennis followed by ball room dancing.
Argentine Tango:
My wife and I began began taking dance lessons since 1990 and began competing in Argentine Tango events since 2011. We won several armature and senior level competition and we still represent Boston in these divisions in many events.
